World Café/Open Space
- The "World Café method" consists in separating by random the participants in café-style tables (4 or 5 persons in each table). To create discussion, a particular subject or questions are given to them. Each person speaks. The important ideas are kept. After around 30 minutes, the persons need to change tables and there are given a new subject. Three or more rounds of 20 to 30 minutes each are set. This method encourages net working.
- The "open space" is an ideal workshop idea. With this conference method large groups from twenty to 1.000 persons can participate in approx. two days in a central guidance topic productively. A general topic, but still no proposal for solution for the conversion is presented.
No presentations or statements are held. The participation arranges even contents. They suggest single topics and decide, to which them want to cooperate. None must take part in something, in which he is not interested. Concretizing takes place in working groups even steered. There are so many working groups, as there is topics and interest in the cooperation. In this way unbelievably many, exciting ideas for the conversion develop. Which solutions are strongest and are after the conference to be pursued, in the plenum one advises. In addition still during the conference first groups of conversions are then planned.
